This past week was a milestone event for me. Two large diptychs painted in June were hung at the Pentagon's Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. Pictured at left is Pentagon curator Al Jones and his assistant Walter measuring and affixing the large canvases with double sided industrial strength velcro. To be sure, this is an extra special honor since the Pentagon rarely takes art from civilians. Acknowledgements go to BR McDonald of the Veteran Arts Program, and benefactor Ben Shephard. Location is, "Main Street," the main corridor linking many segments of the huge complex, and across from the cafeteria. The relatively new Mark Center houses various service branch admin specialists. Each diptych is 66"x96."
